After 25 years of marriage, Pierce Brosnan sent his wife an intimate confession about their relationship

We've heard that couples who spend a lot of money on their wedding are less likely to stay together for a long time.

According to a study that examind 3,000 married couples, there was evidence to support this theory, along with other factors such as children, and choosing a spouse because of their appearance.

Fortunately, there is one famous couple who will definitely disagree with this study: Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith.

The actor who plays James Bond and stars in Mama Mia and many other film hits, and his journalist wife were married in August 2001 at a spectacular $1.5 million event in Mayo County, Ireland.

Keely wore a $60,000 dress that was very similar to Grace Kelly's dress, surrounded by 14,000 flowers that cost another $70,000 and a six-story carrot cake that cost $2,340. When the festive evening ended with a spectacular fireworks show.

Despite the precious and eye-catching wedding, two decades later the devoted couple is still very much in love.

Recently Pierce Brosnan wrote a post on the social networks where he expresses his love for his dear wife.

"Thank you for the love my love of these past 25 years, onwards..", he wrote in a post on Facebook.

From the first time he saw her, Brosnan knew that Keely was the one for him. In an interview with the Independent in 2016, the actor, who can be seen in the film Mama Mia 2, explained why he fell in love with her.

"I love her vitality, her passion, she has a strength I could not live without, and when Keely looks at me, I'm weakened", he said.

Before he was with Keely, Brosnan was married to Cassandra, who unfortunately passed away in 1991 because of cancer.

He met Keely in 1994 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where she worked as a television reporter. Brunsen has five children, two of them from Keely.

'Romantic Weekend'

Despite the busy schedule, Pierce always makes room for quality time with his wife.

"My wife and I took a short trip to Santa Barbara - we went to a romantic weekend, looking for a house and to drink wine", he said. "We did not listen to music, we just listened to one another's voices and looked at the world".

With so much drama happening among famous couples, it is refreshing to see a famous actor remaining true and faithful to the woman he married.
