Whenever we book a vacation, a visit to a casino can definitely spark up and excite the travel.

Usually when we think about gambling, the name Las Vegas immediately comes up. But apparently the world has so many glamorous gambling houses, that it's a pitty to only think about the mid desert of the United States. There are far more amazing and exclusive resorts we may never visit..

Sun City, Rustenburg

I like this

Most chances are, you don't know Rustenburg - it is a town located about two hours' drive from South Africa's big city, Johannesburg - but it's the only place for gambling in the entire continent of Africa, that is - if you prefer gambling in style instead of playing poker on rocks and stones.

I like this

Sun City is the one hotel out of 4 in the same compound where most of the gamblings take place. Slot machines, Roulette, Blackjack, Poker - you will find anything you want in here, and you can also send your non gambling friends to the nearby safari.

Casino Lisboa, Mandarin Oriental, and Sands Macau, Macau

Sands Macau

I like this

In the year 2002, a previous monopoly that held place on gambling institutes in Macau has been removed, and very quickly the place became what might be the new gambling center of the world.

Investors from all around the globe came and started to invest in huge casinos, including Sands Macau, with 740 game tables, which is one of the largest casinos in the world - built on an area of 20 square kilometers. If you ever visit this place, you should look at the Pearl Room - a room decorated with pearl chandeliers with 40 game tables in it.

Casino "Grand Lisboa"

I like this

Casino "Grand" Lisboa is one of the veteran casinos of Macau, and it stands out for its marvelous views - with more than 1000 rooms and 20 restaurants, including one Michelin 3-stars restaurant.

It is considered a place that suits every tourist, from the richest all the way to those who only walk in with a few bucks on them.

Mandarin Oriental

I like this

The two casinos in the Mandarin Oriental hotel provide a small but worthy alternative to the monster casino of Grand Lisboa. You can walk in the gates 24 hours a day, which caused this institute to be respectfully mentioned many times in the chinese night scene.

These three are just a tip of the iceberg of what Macau's gambling institute has to offer. It's no wonder that Macau have even surpassed Las Vegas towards the title "The global gambling center of the world".

Casino de Monte Carlo, Monaco

I like this

One of the ancient casinos in the world, Casino de Monte Carlo was built in 1858 and was designed by Garnier, who is famous for designing The Opera House in Paris.

You're only allowed to get inside wearing a jacket and a tie, and to some of the poker rooms - only with a big checkbook. On the other hand, there are some who are not allowed in at all - the citizens of Monaco, for example, aren't allowed inside. The whole place is meant only for tourists.

In this place, some famous scenes from James Bond movies, "Never Say Never Again" and "Golden Eye" were filmed at, as well as this casino house also inspired the follow up movie in the series "Casino Royale".

Casino Metropol, Moscow

I like this

Metropol Hotel is one of the most beautiful places in Moscow, and its casino fits the high standards of the hotel.

The casino, which is meant for russian oligarchs and westerns who came to do business with them, requires visitors to walk in with a respected dressing. Not once it happend that an american who thought that in russia you can make up for a sport elegant T-shirt and jogging shoes with some cash, found his way out very quickly.

The enterance alone to the casino costs $500. Although the hotel residents can walk in for free, the prices of the rooms in the hotel are very high.

The Ritz Club, London

I like this

In the UK, the law requires you to belong to a private club in order to gamble. So in order to get in The Ritz, you will have to first join the club - and this can only be done with a recommendation from an existing member, and a signup fee of 1000 GBP.

So if you think about a one time visit, The Ritz is the most expensive place on this list, but considering the fact it is such a historical institute, there's no other place in the world where you can gamble in style. No doubt, this place deserves its self proclaimed title - "the most exclusive gambling club in the world".

MGM Grand, Las Vegas

I like this

And of course, we couldn't finish this article without one of the most famous casinos in the world, the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The MGM Grand Hotel's Casino is located in one of the largest hotels in the world. This is one of the largest game tables places in the entire sins city, with a huge area of 171000 square meters.

In the casino there are 140 game tables and 2500 slot machines. You can walk around between the video games, poker, slot machines, and advanced game machines. The cost of bets can start with 1 cent and end at $1000. You can also bet while watching plasma TV screens with shows broadcasted in a wide variety of sports: soccer, martial arts, boxing and football.
