Niki Boon began her journey in photography as a hobby during her time in Scotland. However, she eventually had to set aside her creative pursuits due to various life challenges.

Her passion for photography was reignited after she relocated to the serene rural landscapes of New Zealand and welcomed the birth of her four children.

Boon began to observe her children's interactions with nature and their responses to the world around them, which became a profound source of inspiration for her artistic endeavors.

She titled her photo series featuring her children in a tech-free environment "Pure Childhood."
