Warning! Never reheat these 7 foods, they may poison your family
|
We all sometimes prepare more food than we are able to eat, and we usually leave the leftovers for tomorrow. The next day we usually reheat the food and eat it. But there are some things you need to know before you do it again.
It is very important to know that some foods change their composition, lose important properties and can even become toxic after being reheated. Try to avoid reheating the following foods:
Mushrooms
Mushrooms should be eaten immediately after they are prepared. If you have mushrooms left over, it is better to eat them cold and not reheat them. Mushrooms change the composition of their proteins while they are reheated and their taste changes. Because of this, they can cause many digestive problems and will completely lose their health benefits.
Chicken
Just like with mushrooms, reheating a chicken causes the protein composition to change. It is therefore not recommended to reheat chicken at high temperatures. If you still want to reheat the chicken, it is best to do so at a relatively low temperature.
Potato
Potato is extremely nutritious and in its reheating it loses all its properties and becomes toxic. It is better to eat it cold than to reheat it. If you eat it cold, the percentage of starch in it will be extremely high and will make you feel full for a longer time.
Spinach
Spinach is rich in nitrate, but when heated again the nitrate becomes nitrite. Nitrite is a carcinogen so it is recommended to consume only fresh spinach.
Beet
Just like with spinach, beets contain nitrate and is therefore dangerous to reheat. That does not mean you should avoid this food. It is simply not recommended to heat it again.
Celery
Celery is mainly used in soups. It also contains nitrate, so it is not recommended to heat it again as well. You can reheat the soup only after removing the celery.
Eggs
Eggs become very toxic when reheated at high temperature. Therefore, avoid reheating eggs in order to stay healthy.
