Lee Broadway, a mother of four from Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, was a very popular woman.

She and her husband Eric met when they were in school, and after a few years they got married and had four children.

Lee suffered from migraines from time to time, so it was not uncommon for her to suffer from occasional headaches.

But on April 1, 2017, she suffered from a particularly extreme headache.

Lee and Eric went to the hospital, but they could not imagine that Lee's condition was life threatening.

"Lee suffered from migraines", her husband Eric said. "So a headache was not something that worried us".

Once they came in the hospital, she was diagnosed with a cerebral aneurysm.

A cerebral aneurysm causes small blood vessels to weaken and blood to accumulate in small bubbles, which cause stress in the brain.

In such a situation there are two risks - the pressure in the brain becomes too great, or the blood vessels rupture and begin to bleed.

When blood vessels rupture, a particularly extreme headache occurs, which feels similar to a migraine.

Lee passed away two days after she was hospitalized, just days before her 42nd birthday.

There are several signs of a cerebral aneurysm:

1. An extreme and sudden headache, one you have never felt before

2. Neck pain

3. Nausea and vomiting

4. Sensitivity to light

5. Fainting and/or loss of consciousness

6. Seizures

If diagnosed in time, a surgery can be performed for prevention purposes.

If you or someone you know is experiencing the symptoms, go see a hospital immediately.
