A woman secretly filmed behind an old man's back: revealed the truth to what the waitress did to his food
|
We often hear about how today's youth have no respect for the adults. And sometimes it can certainly be said that it is true. Young people need to show more respect to those who helped build the country in which they live.
But this is not always the case. There are many good deeds that young people do every day and deserve to be in the spotlight.
This story is exactly like that. We hope it will reach as many people as possible, and as a result will make more young people continue on the path of this special woman.
In 2018, 18-year-old Evoni Williams stood behind the counter and worked her regular shift at a fast food restaurant.
There she noticed an old man in need of oxygen balloon support. He had a hard time cutting his food. The man's hands did not work as they used to, so Evoni decided to help him.
"Without hesitation she took his plate and began to cut his food", Laura Wolf wrote.
She was very moved by what she saw, and decided to upload the photo to Facebook.
"It may seem like something small, but for him, it was huge", Laura wrote on Facebook.
"I'm grateful I saw the good deed at the beginning of my day when everything in the world is so negative".
About a week later, the photo uploaded by Laura was shared more than 40,000 times.
What’s more, the picture reached Texas Southern University's principals who gave Evoni Williams a scholarship worth $16,000.
That was a life-changing gift for Williams, who graduated from high school in May and has been working at the restaurant ever since to save money for university.
The girl herself said she felt honored for the appreciation she received, but that she did not think she had done anything special.
"It was only after a few hours that I was told they had photographed me", Williams said.
According to Williams, there was no question at all about the help she gave the old man.
"When I saw it, it's just something I would do for anyone".
