For most people, a wedding is not just a day to have a big party and celebrate, nor is it just an event where you declare your loyalty to each other for the rest of your lives. It is much more than that, and as such, it is a day that is planned down to the smallest detail.

For Kevin and Kim, their big day was going to be the most emotional one, especially because Kevin had a big secret.

When Kim went to the wedding to be reunited with her future husband, he revealed the secret.. and left the bride in tears.

18 years ago, young Kevin Taylor broke his leg. That was the moment he discovered he had a nerve problem, a condition that causes extremely sharp pain whenever his foot was touched.

He lost the use of his legs

This condition makes life very difficult and is also very rare. And to make it even worse, Kevin suffered from the worst case of a condition called reflex dystrophy, which forced him to visit the hospital every two months.

The doctors agreed that they couldn't save his legs. So Kevin was forced to use a wheelchair, but he continued to live life to the fullest, with a smile on his face.

"The way I see it, it could always be worse", he said.

Kevin was just grateful to be alive. And things took a turn for the better when he met Kim.

The love of his life

It was love at first sight. Kim didn't mind that Kevin was in a wheelchair, and it boosted Kevin's self-confidence.

"She looks at me like I'm not in a wheelchair", Kevin said. "I mean, she always saw beyond that".

Kim explained: "It didn't bother me at all, because it's the person on the inside, not who he is physically. His heart makes up for the legs he's missing".

Wedding preparations

After a few months together, Kevin and Kim decided to get married. They planned the big day down to the smallest detail, and after the preparation period, everything was ready for their big day.

What Kim didn't know was that Kevin was keeping a secret from her. He had been working hard behind her back, secretly training with a physical therapist so he could use his prosthetics.

Kevin had long since decided that when the priest asked everyone to stand, he would do so too.

Kim walked down the aisle toward her fiancé, only to find him standing surprisingly.
