Olivia de Havilland is one of the only actors from Hollywood's "Golden Age" that is still alive. She is also the only actress from "Gone with the wind" that's still alive.
At the age of 101 she looks just amazing.
Olivia was born in Tokyo, Japan, while her father, a British diplomat, worked there at the time. In 1919 the family moved to California - and Olivia's mother, who was an actress before her marriage, gave Olivia and her sister acting lessons, singing and dancing.
That's where Olivia's passion for acting was born, something that led to her starring in 49 films during her successful career. One of the films was the eternal classic 'Gone with the Wind'.
During her career, Olivia had bitter rivalry with her sister, Joan Fontaine.
They had a terrible relationship, and it worsened in 1941 when the two sisters competed head-on for the Academy Award for best actress. The title went to Joanne for her role in the film "Suspicion".
Olivia has recently been honored with the title "Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire" by Queen Elizabeth II.
Today she lives in France - and she is as beautiful as she has always been!
Olivia de Haviland had an amazing life, and now she can say that she had a very long life. It must be a great feeling to get to 101 years and still look amazing when you know that you are a big part in the history of cinema. We would be happy if we had such a career!
